SMILE CENTER

Victims of violent crime suffer from severe loss and psychological trauma and have the right to get social support to recover from their distress. Founded by the Ministry of Justice in acknowledgement of the Crime Victim Protection Act, Smile Centers provide integrated support for the recovery of crime victims.

Smile Centers are located in major cities nationwide, providing a one-stop service to victims and their families suffering from mental health resulting from traumatic crime experiences. Professionals at the Smile Center render services that are appropriate for each case, such as psychological evaluation and treatment, legal counseling and social support networks. Smile Centers also offer a temporary protective shelter to those in need of a safe place to stay.
